Dr. O. Pelechaty, Clinic Director

Orest V. Pelechaty, AP, L.Ac., OMD, is licensed in Florida (Acupuncture Physician) and is licensed in New Jersey in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

He received his degree of Oriental Medicine Doctor in 1986 from the California Acupuncture College subsequent to his 1985 Masters Degree from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and was nationally certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM. He completed post-doctoral studies at Kyong Hee Medical University, Korea.

Dr. O., as he is known by his loving patients and friends, is a life-long student of various healing systems including Tibetan Ayurveda, Western Herbal Medicine, Essential Oil Therapeutics, Homeopathy, and energy healing techniques such as Pranic Healing, Qigong, and various forms of Reiki.

Dr. O. founded and directed Aware of Life Options & Healing Arts (ALOHA Clinic) NJ’s premier integrated holistic medicine clinic from 1988 to 2003. Orest retired from Clinic Directorship in order to pursue individual private practice in New Jersey and now in Mount Dora, Florida. He also enjoys teaching, writing, and educating health professionals.

He loves to teach regenerative agriculture to help save the planet. He is the founder of Old King Farm Healing and Retreat Center in Benson, Vermont.  Old King Farm’s hemp crop has been certified organic and bio-dynamic from day one.  He is the creator of Mystic Mountain Magicals, a premier line of hemp infused products.

He was a founding member of the New Jersey Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and served as vice president. Orest is proud to have worked on a national level as an early member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM). While serving on the Board of Directors for four years, he became founding chairman of both the Herbal Medicine and the Qi Gong Therapeutics Committees.

He also traveled to India four times to serve the poor in a village in Himachal Pradesh. In 2023, he went to Ukraine to help teach frontline medics how to use acupuncture for the wounded, those in rehab, and the suffering population.

Dr. O. has been a guest lecturer at universities and hospitals as well as on radio and television. He always welcomes the opportunity to share his vast knowledge and experience, in a loving, humorous style of benefit to many.
